Nambé square 11-inch serving plate; designed by Richard K. Thomas
Nambé’s square metal plate was the first Nambé item to be recognized by the Museum of Modern Art in New York and is now in the museum’s permanent collection. Designed by sculptor Richard K. Thomas, who also designed Nambé’s iconic Butterfly and Tri-Corner bowls, the square plate is a true contemporary classic. With its rounded corners and slight rim, the piece, available in an 11-inch or 14-inch size, is perfect for serving hors d’oeuvres, a dessert with sauce, and many other food items. The durable metal is safe for chilling in a freezer or warming in an oven before use and retains its temperature for quite some time. While the gleaming metal will not tarnish, chip, or crack, the plate may not be used in a microwave or dishwasher. Washing by hand preserves the mirror finish.
